Add contact information

Lund University needs to have the correct contact information to all its staff, students and other people working on our premises to be able to provide information in case of emergency.

Last winter and in the early spring a working group designed a procedure to ensure precisely this. The purpose of obtaining everyone’s contact information is twofold. The first is to be able to quickly provide information in emergency situations. Such a situation occurred on 12 October 2015, when Lund University was closed due to a threat. The second is concerned with IT security where it is critical that the information is received by the right person, for instance in case of restoring a password.

Please note that providing us with your contact information is completely voluntary, but we would appreciate if you would enter your private mobile phone number, private email address and your work mobile phone number – follow the instructions below.

1.  Go to  ‘Passport’ - https://passport.lu.se

2. Log in as ‘User’

3. Click on the link to ‘Verification of contact information’

4. Read the text and follow the instructions on the web page

To ensure that the information is correct, Lund University will once a year ask all who work and study at the University to confirm that the information is still accurate.

The input and storage of the contact information for these two purposes require consent under the Swedish Personal Data Act. The information entered will be stored safely and not be shared or published by Lund University. The information will only be visible to you as a current LU employee/student, and to system administrators who perform relevant IT services.

Lucat is the University’s identity and authorisation system. It stores information about people connected to the University, as well as information on the organisational structure of the University.
