The University Board decided to appoint its chair Jonas Hafström as chair of the Recruitment Committee. The other members are:
- Head of finance Ingrid Bengtsson-Rijavec, Malmö University (external member)
- Professor Anne L’Huillier, Department of Physics
- Robin Bernståhle, student
The Electoral College has previously appointed the following members:
- Head of faculty office, Catrin Malmström, Faculty of Science
- Senior lecturer Johan Östling, Department of History
- Professor Viveka Alfredsson, Department of Chemistry
- Gustav Ekström, student
The first task of the Recruitment Committee is to draw up a person specification for the new vice-chancellor. The term of office of Lund University’s current vice-chancellor Torbjörn von Schantz ends on 31 December 2020, with the new vice-chancellor subsequently taking on the role. Sylvia Schwaag Serger’s term of office as deputy vice-chancellor will also come to an end on the same date.
