A total of 72,707 people applied for a course or programme at Lund University, and 32,215 of them selected Lund University as their first choice. Of those admitted, 6,823 were admitted to degree programmes and 13,442 to freestanding courses.
The number of applicants and those accepted has fallen compared with last year. This is primarily because the University has reduced the number of distance-learning courses on offer, which affected both applications and admissions. For on-campus courses and study programmes, however, the number of applicants has increased.
The Swedish Professional Law Degree Programme was the most popular programme and had the highest number of first-choice applicants. Several courses and study programmes had high entry requirements, including the Medical Programme, the Bachelor’s programme in Physics, the Hospital Physicist Programme and the Master of Science in Engineering in Industrial Engineering and Management.
