Your research deserves to be communicated efficiently, effectively, correctly, and with variation. It’s not only a matter of honour; it’s a matter of merit and competiveness.
Lund University, through the Centre for Language and Literature, can this term offer two courses in English for researchers, one in “Written English for Scholarly Publication” (WESP) and one in “Spoken English for Conference Presentations” (SECP). These courses are open for any academic staff member (e.g. doctoral students, researchers, post-docs, lecturers, and professors) in any area of study who want to improve their English.
During the spring term of 2022, these courses are subsidised so that the individual departments only pay 2500 SEK/participant for the “Written English for Scholarly Publication” and nothing at all for “Spoken English for Conference Presentations”. We are looking for broad representation, with participants from all disciplines.
Read more about the courses, their content, course dates and structure at Kompetensportalen, where you also can find instructions on how to apply. Deadline for applications is 7 February for WESP, 16 March for the first round of SECP and 18 April for the second round of SECP.
