Autumn Methods Workshops 2023

The LU Faculty of Social Sciences will offer five Autumn Workshops in Methods and Methodologies this year. These are for teachers, researchers, and PhD candidates from all fields and faculties who desire to continue to broaden and deepen their knowledge of research methods.

You may sign up for more than one workshop: their schedules do not conflict. And they are FREE for all Ph D students at Lund University!

All workshops are offered in English.

Timing

September–October 2023. Dates are detailed below. More information is available on the website.

Please note that if you sign up for a workshop, but cannot attend, you must inform us two weeks before the workshop starts. Otherwise, your institution will be charged a no-show fee of 800 SEK for the missed workshop.

On-campus, Lund.

Workshop fees

  • All workshops are free-of-charge for all Lund University PhD students.
  • All workshops are free-of-charge for LU Faculty of Social Sciences staff.

4. Harnessing AI for Research Enhancement

Instructor: Peter Parnes, Luleå Technical University
Dates: 4–5 October (week 40), 13:15–16:00

5. Mixed and Merged Methods

Instructor: Giampietro Gobo, University of Milan
Dates: 9–13 October (week 41), 9:15-12:00

We will also offer a workshop on Digital Ethnography; details will be advertised later.
