The Lund University Christmas concert
Celebrate Christmas in the Main University Building’s glorious auditorium with the Lund University Academic Choir and the Lund University Academic Orchestra (9 December at 14:00, 16:00 and 19:00). We invite you to get into the Christmas spirit with our most beloved carols and some lesser-known gems. Poet Niklas Törnlund will act as cicerone. Ann Kristin Wallengren, pro vice-chancellor at the University, will give a Christmas speech at all three Christmas concerts.

Christmas Oratorio
Jauchzet, frohlocket! In collaboration with Lund’s Allhelgona parish, we have the great pleasure of performing Johann Sebastian Bach’s entire Christmas Oratorio. The Palaestra Vocal Ensemble and Baroque Orchestra composed of the region’s finest musicians invite you to listen to the First Movement and Cantatas 4-6 on Thursday, 21 December at 19:30. In collaboration with us, the Allhelgona Motet Choir and Baroque Ensemble will also perform Cantatas 1-3 on Sunday 17 December at 17:00.
Join us and rejoice in the meaning of Christmas as embodied by one of the true masterpieces of music!
