Your research deserves to be communicated clearly, efficiently, and correctly. Otherwise, it’s unlikely to be published, and if published, unlikely to be read, and if read, unlikely to be fully understood.

To help you develop your academic English, the English Unit at the Centre for Language and Literature can again offer the popular course in “Written English for Scholarly Publication” (WESP).

The course consists of eight seminars in November and December and is open for all academic staff members (e.g. doctoral students, researchers, post-docs, lecturers, and professors) in any area of study who want to improve their English and get feedback on their writing.

During the autumn of 2023, the course will be given twice, according to the following schedule:

WESP 1 on Zoom: Thursdays 10:15 – 12:00 (26 Oct, 9 Nov, 16 Nov, 23 Nov, 7 Dec, 14 Dec, 21 Dec, 11 Jan).

WESP 2 on campus: Tuesdays 13:15 – 15:00 (7 Nov, 14 Nov, 21 Nov, 28 Nov, 5 dec, 12 Dec, 19 Dec, 9 Jan).

Read more about the courses, their content, course dates and structure at Kompetensportalen, where you also can find instructions on how to apply.

Deadline for applications for the autumn of 2023 is 20 October.
