Finally, there was a doctoral conferment ceremony after up to two years of waiting!

On Friday 6 May, the university's major celebration, the first doctoral degree conferment ceremony, took place in Lund Cathedral. A total of 300 doctors took part at this first and extraordinary conferment ceremony.

The conferment ceremony was for the 300 doctors who have not been able to participate in a doctoral conferment in 2020 and have chosen not to participate in the digital doctoral conferment in 2021 (due to the pandemic). The honorary doctors and jubilee doctors of the faculties from 2020 and 2021 were also invited as guests.
