The theme for this year's Future Week is "Breakthroughs". What breakthroughs are needed in research and in society for us to be able to manage our future in the best way possible? What breakthroughs do we expect to happen soon? The university’s researchers addresses this year’s theme through below events, and many others (below are events being held in English):
- Innovation in times of crisis
- Tomorrow's news today? A special issue of LUM looks at LU's possible futures
- From Robots to Rust: Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Development
- A new look at breakthrough innovation – how women can change the world
- MAX IV and ESS as engines for breakthrough science
- Groundbreaking insights without breaking ground
The week also offers talks about our climate - what does climate science say about our future? And the upcoming and newly released The Meridian podcast covering neutrons and ESS. And don't miss exhibitions and tours at Skissernas Museum, Historical Museum and in the Botanical Garden.
The activities are held around Lund, on Campus Helsingborg and online.
