When the University Board met on 5 June, it decided to propose Erik Renström as Vice-Chancellor of Lund University for the coming three-year term, 2027-2029. University vice-chancellors are formally appointed by the Government, which has now reached its decision. This means that the final stage in the process of appointing the Vice-Chancellor is now complete.
The Recruitment Committee is hoping for a large number of candidates for deputy vice-chancellor
The deputy vice-chancellor’s term of office also expires at the end of the year. Applications and nominations for the post of deputy vice-chancellor opened on 10 August, and the deadline for applications and nominations is 14 September.
“The Recruitment Committee is keen to attract a large number of qualified candidates for the position. We therefore encourage staff and students to submit nominations, and anyone interested to apply,” says Ingrid Petersson.
