Health promotion benefit is offered to all employees at Lund University, regardless of the terms of your employment. To encourage higher uptake of the benefit, it has now been decided to increase the amount to SEK 3,000 per year.
“I am aware that there has been great demand for this among staff and I am pleased that we can now offer increased reimbursement. I would like to encourage everyone to use their health promotion reimbursement and remind people that we are entitled to one health promotion hour per week during paid working hours,” says Susanne Kristensson, university director.
Health promotion reimbursement can be used for many different activities. You are reimbursed for straightforward, activities that include elements of exercise or other health promotion. You are entitled to the health promotion reimbursement even if you on parental leave or sick leave.
“Health promotion reimbursement is an easy way to promote health, wellbeing and sustainability in the workplace, an investment that benefits the individual and the organisation alike,” says Marie Härstedt, head of the HR Division.
The Vice-Chancellor and all the faculties were very much in agreement that the reimbursement should be increased and that alongside the health promotion hour, the University’s benefits are of significant value.
For the transition period, 2025-2026, the following applies
