IT News: PDF/A guides and encrypted Teams meetings

An open laptop on a table.

Guides are now available to help you create archive-quality PDF files (PDF/A). There are also several new ways to encrypt a Teams meeting, the Microsoft 365 A1 Plus licence is being discontinued and there is a course on optimising websites for AI search.

PDF/A guides

With PDF/A, you can create documents that are suitable for archiving, as set out in the Records Management Plan.

But how do you create a PDF/A file? How can you tell what type of PDF file it is? And how do you convert a paper receipt into an archive-quality PDF/A file?

The answers to these – and many other questions about PDF/A – can now be found in the guides on the Support Centre: PDF/A guides | Support Centre

The Microsoft 365 A1 Plus licence is being discontinued

Following a new agreement between Lund University and Microsoft, the Microsoft 365 A1 Plus licence will be discontinued. If you have an A1 Plus licence, you will receive further details by email.

Encrypted digital meetings

You can use Teams to hold encrypted digital meetings. No third party – not even Microsoft – has the technical capability to access the content during such an encrypted meeting. This way, you can hold digital meetings on sensitive topics without the risk of information leaks.

On the digital meetings page, you can read more about meeting encryption:
