LU Innovation strengthens support for financing of innovations. First out: Novo Nordisk Foundation

Novo Nordisk

Lund University's innovation office, LU Innovation, works to increase collaboration with external funders that support impact and innovation. This year, it is deepening collaboration with several new funders and offers support through info sessions and application guidance.

"We want to make it easier for researchers at Lund University to find the right funding to develop their innovations and improve the quality of their applications. We're here to help," says Johan Alling at LU Innovation.

First up in 2026 is a digital meeting on 21 January with the Novo Nordisk Foundation. Their calls "Pioneer Innovator Grant" and "Distinguished Innovator Grant" open on 16 January. The foundation funds projects in sustainability and health, focusing on commercialisation of research results and development of new technologies. Researchers can apply for funding up to DKK 7.6 million over three years.

Signe Daugbjerg, Senior Scientific Manager from the Novo Nordisk Foundation, will attend the meeting to answer questions.
