Emilie Stroh is to become the new head of the Research Data Office (LU RDO)
From 1 September, Emilie Stroh will be the new head of the Research Data Office (LU RDO). She has over 20 years’ experience as a researcher at Lund University, having worked in both the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Medicine, as well as in interdisciplinary settings. She helped establish the Research Data Office and has worked as a research coordinator since its inception, with a particular focus on the needs of the faculties and researchers.
“My aim is for the Office to be closely linked to operational needs and to be based on the actual research needs. This includes, amongst other things, support in the areas of regulatory compliance, security and research data management, so that the research process can run as smoothly as possible. We intend to make it easier for researchers to find the right support, tools and services for research data management throughout the entire research process,” says Emilie Stroh.
She underlines the importance of listening to the faculties and researchers and taking their experiences and wishes into account when developing the University’s support, systems and services. By doing so, she hopes to help make researchers’ day-to-day work easier and create better conditions for the University’s research.
Anna Martinsson is the University’s new director of communications
On 22 September, Anna Martinsson will take up her post as communications director, with responsibility for leading university-wide communications work. She currently works as an area manager for healthcare communications in Region Skåne.
Anna Martinsson has extensive experience of strategic communication, leadership and change management, gained from both the public sector and consulting services.
“I am looking forward to joining Lund University. It is difficult to find organisations within the Swedish public sector that carry such weight and enjoy such a reputation as Lund University. After all, the University makes its mark not only in Skåne or Sweden, but throughout the world, and contributes to far-reaching development that underpins society. It’s impossible not to be drawn to being part of that milieu,” says Anna Martinsson.
As director of communications, she will lead and develop the University's communications work, working closely with the various departments and University Management. Anna Martinsson will also take up the post of head of the Corporate Communication in the Central Administration.
“I look forward to working with astute managers and colleagues to support and develop the University’s activities through communication. Together, we can find answers to how communication can create as much value as possible, both internally and externally, in a world where attention spans are short and the flow of information is overwhelming,” says Anna Martinsson.
In her current role, she leads the heads of communications within the healthcare sector in an organisation with just over 50 staff. Her previous roles have included head of communications at Skåne University Hospital, strategic communications officer at the Swedish Migration Agency and the Swedish Board of Student Finance (CSN), and communications consultant at Nordisk Kommunikation.
