New opportunities to develop research communication skills

Lund University Outreach Academy continues to offer courses and study programmes for researchers who wish to communicate their research to a wider audience. This autumn, we are offering a workshop on presentation skills and a short course on policy advocacy.

For the past year, Corporate Communication has been offering a package of courses and study programmes for researchers who want to improve their ability to make their research understandable, relevant and engaging for different target audiences, without compromising on scientific quality.

“In addition to the courses we have previously run, two new ones have been added – a short course in presentation techniques and one on policy advocacy, for which we haven’t finalised the dates yet,” says Ulrika Oredsson, press and research communication officer, who runs the Lund University Outreach Academy on behalf of Corporate Communication.

On Wednesday 26 August, the course Presentation skills for researchers: Make your research clear, engaging and accessible will be held for the first time, in collaboration with presentation expert Anders Sahlman. There are still a few places left.

If you have any ideas for research communication courses or study programs that the university should offer, please contact Ulrika Oredsson at Ulrika [dot] Oredsson [at] kommunikation [dot] lu [dot] se (Ulrika[dot]Oredsson[at]kommunikation[dot]lu[dot]se)
