New semester with continued development and improvements

Now that most people are back from their holidays, activities resume where they left off before the summer. Over the autumn, the Workplace of the Future project will focus on remote working among technical and administrative staff. The annual follow-up on secondary employment has come in and shows that we have become better at reporting, but there is still room for improvement.

The Workplace of the Future project will focus on remote working among technical and administrative staff, and the questions being asked are: How has it been since we have had the opportunity to sign the remote work agreement? What have we learned so far? What can we do better and what has worked well? We hope to include the answers in the project’s second interim report, due in December.

This summer we received the results of the annual follow-up of our compliance with the rules on secondary employment. The number of reports has increased significantly and other previous shortcomings, such as justifying secondary employment, have also improved, but there are still many members of teaching staff who do not report whether they have secondary employment and justifications are not included in more than half of cases where secondary employment is approved. Let us get even better! The fact that we operate in contexts outside the University is positive and necessary, but to avoid the risk of breach of trust, it is important that this is reported.
