The sustainability plan is being updated – Have your say!

This autumn will see comprehensive work on updating the University’s sustainability plan. The changes are to make sustainability efforts over the next two years more concrete. Boards and parts of the central administration will now identify various activities and see what resources are available to achieve our sustainability goals.

The current sustainability plan for the University is valid from 2020-2026 and is based on the sustainability strategy. It had already been reviewed once and this is the final revision before the next plan is introduced. During 2026, a new process will get underway to update both the sustainability plan and the sustainability strategy. The university-wide sustainability plan forms the basis of the faculties’ own sustainability plans.

“It is important that the goals should point in the direction of change – a shift towards increased sustainability. In this work, all employees are important, and we would like your ideas for other activities,” says Claes Nilén, environmental manager and the person responsible for work on the sustainability plan.

The updates to the sustainability plan are established in collaboration with the central administration, central boards, the Sustainability Forum and the External Engagement Council.
