Tellus webinar about sexual harassment at Lund university
Among other things, the results reveal that one in four female staff/doctoral students at Lund University and seven per cent of the male staff have been subjected to sexual harassment. More than one quarter of the female students state that they have been subjected to victimisation, the figure for the male students is eleven per cent. This concerns everything from unwelcome innuendo to physical assault. The most common situation is that someone is subjected to such behaviour by another employee or student.
Those who have been affected estimate their work capacity and general health lower than those who have not been affected. A large proportion of the staff have confidence in Lund University’s management procedure for sexual harassment, but confidence is lower among those who have filed reports.
How can the University work preventively? In connection with the presentation of the investigation’s results, the management will also talk about the University’s continuing work to prevent sexual harassment.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions via moderated chat.
Date: 28 September 13:00 in English, for LU employees and students.
The webinar will be held via Zoom, sign up here, the link will be sent out before the webinar.
