The Electoral College recommends Erik Renström as the next vice-chancellor

Erik Renström

After two rounds of voting, Erik Renström is the candidate the Electoral College recommends to the Recruitment Committee to be the new vice-chancellor of Lund University, as Erik Renström received most votes.

The three final candidates to be the new vice-chancellor of Lund University whom the Electoral College interviewed and voted on were: Professor Erik Renström, dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Professor Mia Rönnmar, dean of the Faculty of Law, and professor and deputy vice-chancellor of Lund University, Sylvia Schwaag Serger.

The Electoral College has now submitted its proposal to the Recruitment Committee, which will propose to the University Board who is to be appointed as the new vice-chancellor. At its meeting on 18 September, the University Board will decide on the proposal for the new vice-chancellor. The Government then appoints the vice-chancellor. In parallel with drawing up the proposal for vice-chancellor, work is continuing on drawing up a person specification for the new deputy vice-chancellor.

The minutes will be published shortly on the Staff Pages.
