The University will fly the flag for IDAHOT Day on 17 May

On Friday 17 May, Lund University will again fly the rainbow flags for IDAHOTI, The International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, Biphobia and Interphobia, on all university buildings.

This day is held to draw attention to the violence and discrimination that LGBTQIA+ (Lesbians, Gays, Bi, Trans*, Queer, Intersex and Asexual) people are exposed to in all countries.

The flag hoisting ceremony, including short speeches, will be at 08:00 am in front of the main university building (“The White House”) in Lundagård.

The network HBTQ-LU, the Lund University network for LGBTQIA+ employees, has instigated and hosted LU’s flying the rainbow flags at LU on IDAHOTI since 2014, so this year we will celebrate the 10-year anniversary, as well as remind of work that still needs to be done.
