The purpose of the workshop is to tie closer contacts between teachers and staff at Lund University´s collections and museums, and to provide inspiration for educational development and interdisciplinary cooperation.
On the 7th and 8th of February 2022 (two half days, 1-5 PM and 8:30-12 AM) Lund University invites to a workshop on Creative learning with the use of cultural collections and objects.
The workshop will take place at the Museum of Artistic Process and Public Art (Skissernas museum). During the first day, Monday 7 February, participants will gain insights on how to use objects for communication training, to arouse curiosity or to support deep learning. In the afternoon there will also be a panel with invited researchers from University College London and from Melbourne University.
The whole morning on the 8th of February will be dedicated to an interactive workshop on how to use collections and objects in teaching. It will be an open space seminar, and participants will create the agenda together. There will be room for discussions on concrete course ideas, as well as more general questions on how to make Lund University´s collections and museums more visible and used in teaching.
The workshop will held be mostly in English, unless all participants prefer to communicate in Swedish.
All registered participants will get an offer to participate in guided tours at the Museum of Artistic Process and Public Art, the Historical museum, the Botanical Garden, and the Old Bishop’s House.
