SUMMARY:The EU AI Act in Context: Implementation\, Interaction\, and Global
  Developments
DESCRIPTION:Contact: jonas.wisbrant@control.lth.se\n\nArtificial intelligen
ce is increasingly regulated through a growing and interconnected body of
law. As the EU AI Act moves from adoption to implementation\, attention is
shifting from the text of the regulation itself to a broader and more com
plex question: how does the AI Act interact with existing legal frameworks
\, fundamental rights protections\, and emerging regulatory approaches aro
und the world? This symposium brings together leading scholars\, policymake
rs\, regulators\, and practitioners to explore the evolving legal landscap
e of artificial intelligence. Particular attention will be given to the im
plementation of the EU AI Act\, its relationship with other areas of Europ
ean law\, and the implications of developments in major jurisdictions such
as the United States\, China\, and the United Kingdom. The symposium is or
ganised by AI Lund as part of its annual series on AI regulation and gover
nance. The event aims to provide a forum for informed discussion on the fu
ture of AI governance in Europe and beyond\, at a time when both regulator
y requirements and technological developments are evolving rapidly. When &a
