 ediscovered its copy of Nicolaus Copernicus’s classic work “On the Rev
 olutions of the Celestial Spheres” from 1566. The library is celebrating
  this with an exhibition which\, in keeping with the 2026 Lund Carnival an
 d its celestial theme\, highlights freedom of thought – both in science 
 and humour.The exhibition has been produced in collaboration with the Acad
 emic Society’s archives and the 2026 Carnival Committee. It features gro
 undbreaking astronomical works from the 16th and 17th centuries\, alongsid
 e historical and contemporary carnival material that pokes fun at those in
  power.Come and be inspired by a long tradition where free thought\, quest
