Workshop: Getting started with LinkedIn – for researchers
LinkedIn can be more than just a digital CV – it’s also a platform where you can share your research results and insights, build connections and take part in discussions.
In this workshop, aimed at beginners, you’ll get an introduction to how LinkedIn works and how you as a researcher or doctoral student can use it in a strategic and effective way.
We will cover:
- Experiences using LinkedIn as a researcher (inspirational talk by David Larsson Heidenblad, researcher in History)
- How LinkedIn works – the basics
- How to build a professional profile – what to consider when writing your description and headline, and when choosing your profile picture
- How to network, share content and engage in conversations on the platform
This workshop is intended for those who are completely new to LinkedIn, or those who would like to update their profile and presence with a focus on research communication. During the session, you will also receive practical tips and have the opportunity to start working on your own profile.
