    "The men’s World Cup has kicked off, bringing together millions of fans and supporters around the world. Countries compete against one another to win the ultimate prize, but the sport itself is shared by the global community, albeit one shaped by today’s geopolitical reality. With a summer of football like this, I can’t help but draw parallels with academia, and in particular with basic research."

    Take part in LU’s golf tournament on 17 September

    The University Golf Tournament is open to staff from across the University. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re an experienced golfer or mainly play for fun.

    Date: Thursday 17 September. First start: 12 noon.
    Venue: Malmö Burlöv Golf Club.
    Game format: Stableford scoring.

    Prize-giving ceremony: After the round, we’ll gather for the prize-giving ceremony and a get-together on the clubhouse veranda. The restaurant is open until 6 pm.

    As is traditional, each participant brings a small prize, such as a book or some other gift.

    Registration: We can accommodate a maximum of 20 participants, so it’s first come, first served. Register at  mikael [dot] ivarsson [at] it [dot] lu [dot] se (mikael[dot]ivarsson[at]it[dot]lu[dot]se) and enter your golf ID.
