Viktor Öwall
Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research Infrastructure, PhD-education, IT and External Engagement
Viktor Öwall is a professor of integrated electronic systems. He obtained a Master of Science and doctoral degree in electrical engineering in 1988 and 1994 respectively. From 1995 to 1996 he was a postdoc at the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA). He was dean of Lund University’s Faculty of Engineering (LTH). Before that he was head of department, assistant head of department and director of studies at the Department of Electrical and Information Technology (EIT).
Viktor Öwall was a founder of VINNOVA’s Industrial Excellence Centre for System Design on Silicon (SoS), which he led until 2014. He is also one of the founders of the company Phase Holographic Imaging AB which came from research at the department.
