International Credit Mobility (ICM)
Strategic partnerships
What is the aim of the programme?
The programme provides support for partnerships with organisations in other European countries concerning different ways to develop higher education. The aim is to enhance the quality of education.
Who can apply for funding?
Universities and other higher education institutions in the EU/EEA (programme countries).

Where is the application to be sent?
Send the application to the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR).
Call for applications
The application period opens in October/November. The maximum grant amount is SEK 450 000.
The application requires the vice-chancellor’s signature
This applies to applications as a partner or coordinating institution.
The vice-chancellor of Lund University must sign the application. To enable the vice-chancellor to sign, the relevant head of department and dean must sign the review document together with the project manager.
External Relations handles the process for securing the vice-chancellor’s signature. This means that the review document must be completed, signed and submitted to the correct officer at External Relations no later than three weeks prior to the deadline.
If you send in your documents too late, External Relations cannot guarantee that your documents will be signed in time.

Knowledge alliances
What is the aim of the programme?
Within the programme, organisations in higher education and business can apply for grants in order to strengthen Europe’s innovation capacity and promote innovation within higher education, companies and the socio-economic area as a whole.

Organisations within higher education and business in the EU/EEA (programme countries).

Where is the application to be sent?
Send the application to the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR).
Call for applications
The application period opens in October/November. The maximum grant amounts are: EUR 700 000 for two-year projects and EUR 1 000 000 for three-year projects.

What is the aim of the programme?
The programme provides support for modernisation and reform of higher education institutions and systems in the eligible partner countries.

Departments/divisions within Lund University can apply as coordinator or member of a consortium. Individuals cannot apply.

What is the aim of the programme?
Support in developing and implementing a joint study programme with at least three partner universities.

Departments at LU can apply as coordinator or partner in a consortium.

European mobility
What is the aim of the programme?
The programme provides grants to universities and other higher education institutions for exchanges and professional development for staff, and studies and placements for students, in another EU country.

International Credit Mobility (ICM)
What is the aim of the programme?
Lund University has the opportunity to apply for funding from the EU programme Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) to send and receive students and staff from selected partner universities outside of EU/EEA during a three-year project period.
The aim of the programme is to improve the quality of education through student and staff exchanges. Through this programme, students can study or do internships and teachers and staff gain professional development and exchange experiences with colleagues in other countries.
Who can apply for funding?
Since Lund University can only submit one joint application, every autumn the Division of External Relations sends out an internal invitation to submit proposals for mobility projects. Departments/units within Lund University can suggest projects that include student and/or staff mobility. With regard to student mobility, the faculty's international office has to be consulted.
Where is the application to be sent?
Once all proposals have been assessed, the Division of External Relations will submit one single application based on approved mobility projects to the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR), usually in the beginning of February.

Jean Monnet
What is the aim of the programme?
The aim of the programme is to promote excellence in teaching and research among the EU’s member countries. The programme also promotes a dialogue between the academic world and political decision-makers, particularly with an aim to improve control of the EU’s policy.

Departments/divisions within Lund University. Individuals cannot apply for grants.
