Re-using information online
entering information in one place but displaying it in several
One of the benefits of LUCRIS is to re-use registered information within LU. The work with finding good ways of re-using data on other webpages within LU is an ongoing process.
There are several different ways for web editors and communication officers at Lund University to use the information from LUCRIS:
Direct link to researchers’ personal profiles at the portal from the institutional or faculty webpage
By adding a direct link to portal's personal profile pages in the institutional webpage you'll be able to show all contain added to the LUCRIS database, e.g. publications, projects, activities etc. A link which can be used in regard to project applications, reports etc. For those webbpages using Drupal as a publishing tool this link is included in the personal pages.
Possibility republishing on local web pages
LUCRIS has an API interface for republishing of information concerning people, publications, projects and activities at other web pages. To be able to use the API you'll need an account, and in order to get that (and more information) please servicedesk [at] lu [dot] se (subject: LUCRIS%20support) (contact the LUCRIS support).
Access to descriptions by experts and researchers
There are various ways and pages for our communication officers and external stakeholders such as the media, schools or public authorities to find and follow our researchers and experts and their research results. LUCRIS gathers it all in one place to facilitate searchability and navigation between various types of information. LUCRIS has an internal interface (for which you need a LUCAT ID) whereas the research portal offers an external, openly accessible interface.
