3rd SASUF Research and Innovation Week in Uppsala 4-8 May 2020

Please, email no later than 8 November - your letter of interest to participate in the research seminar 7-8 May or your application for a travel grant!

On 4-8 May 2020, the SASUF project will arrange a third and last research and innovation week in Sweden and Uppsala. 

As an LU researcher, you can participate in: 1) satellite activities Monday/Tuesday (4/5 May) which are arranged at Swedish educational institutions and 2) the research seminar in Uppsala on Thursday/Friday (7/8 May). 

To participate in the SASUF research seminar in Uppsala, 7-8 May, LU researchers have to submit a letter of interest or a travel grant application. The travel grant can also be used for travel expenses for participation in satellite activities 4-5 May at a Swedish university in relation to the participation in the seminar in Uppsala. LU researchers are welcome to apply for a travel grant of max. SEK 8,000. Younger researchers will be prioritised for the travel grant. If you will submit a travel grant application, no interest registration is required.

LU Africa Day 30 March 2020

The annual Africa Day will be arranged on 30 March 2020. More information will follow shortly.

Annual SANORD conference (Southern Africa Nordic Centre) 2020

The next SANORD conference will take place in Bergen, Norway, on 9-11 September 2020.

Mapping of interest for collaboration - food systems, migration and innovation

Lund University is now looking for staff interested in contributing to a mapping of possible interest within the university for collaboration with African partners within the three broad areas:

  1. Food systems
  2. Migration
  3. Innovation

Interested staff should submit their letter of interest to par [dot] svensson [at] er [dot] lu [dot] se no later than 15 November. The letter should contain name, title, department, contact details, brief CV, and priority field of mapping of the three selected areas.
