Culture Night

European Researchers’ Night
The European Commission has proclaimed the last Friday in September as “Researchers’ Night”. Thousands of activities are offered all around Europe to demonstrate how exciting and fun research is. At Lund University, the event usually takes place at the Vattenhallen Science Centre.

Library Talks
Popular science talks of approximately 15–40 min at libraries all around Skåne. Target groups vary depending on the city and subject.

Researchers’ Grand Prix
The Researchers’ Grand Prix is a national competition where researchers give a popular science presentation of their research. Regional competitions are held around the country, with the final taking place in Stockholm. Lund University's competition is held in Helsingborg.

The NMT Days – Science, Medicine and Technology
Each March, upper secondary school students and teachers are invited to a week of popular science lectures and demonstrations, covering everything from dark matter, stem cells and the chemistry of love to how Wi-Fi really works.
