The purpose of the module 'Prizes and Distinctions' is to show information on prizes and other professional distinctions that have been awarded to researchers at Lund University.

Why should I add prizes in LUCRIS?

All LU researchers are free to enter prizes, awards and distinctions they want to highlight in their personal profile on the research portal, which can also be selected (all of them or only some if you wish) in the CV module. It’s also possible to create links between your prizes and distinctions and other information in LUCRIS, such as projects, activities and publications.

Be aware that external people added to a prize must be asked for their consent. All who are added (both external and internal people) will receive the role 'Recipient'.

It is possible to create relations between prizes and information in other modules to place the distinction in a context.

There is no review procedure for prizes. Registered prizes become visible straight away in the portal if the visibility is set to public.

How do I add prizes in LUCRIS?

The easiest way to enter prizes and distinctions is to go into LUCRIS, click the '+' (plus sign) in the Prizes module and select a suitable type of prize or distinction.

What types of prizes can I enter?

Use the subtype that corresponds to the prize, award or distinction in question.

  • 'Prize (including medals and awards)'
  • 'National/international honour': including honorary degree
  • 'Election to learned society': for instance The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, Royal Physiographic Society of Lund and so on.
  • 'Appointment'
  • 'Other distinction'

Organisations that want to be able to edit their researchers' Awards can give an administrator the role 'Editor of Prizes'.
