Lund University's collaborations with Australia and New Zealand take place through student exchanges as well as research projects and network activities. The Universitas 21 (U21) network enables in-depth collaboration on different levels.

Our students have a strong interest in exchange studies in Australia and New Zealand. Lund University has a total of 28 student exchange agreements in Australia and 6 in New Zealand, including both university-wide and faculty-level partnerships.

U21 is a leading global network of research-intensive universities for collaboration in both education and research. U21 has five members in Oceania:

• University of Queensland, Australia
• University of Sydney, Australia
• University of Auckland, New Zealand

Australia is Lund University's twelfth largest co-publishing partner globally. New Zealand ranks 31st. The U21 members UNSW Sydney, the University of Melbourne, the University of Sydney, and the University of Queensland are among the institutions with which Lund University researchers co-publish the most in Australia, along with Monash University and the Australian National University. In New Zealand, most co-publishing occurs with the University of Canterbury, the University of Otago, the University of Auckland (U21), and Victoria University Wellington.
