Funding for gender equality initiatives

Lund University wants to promote initiatives for gender equality at the University by means such as invitations to apply for targeted funding. Co-financing of a visiting professor in Hedda Andersson’s name is a recurring initiative, whereas the invitation to apply for stimulus funding for even gender distribution among professors is a new initiative instigated by the University Board.

Funding from the Management Group for Gender Equality and Equal Opportunities

Lund University works on equal opportunities in various ways; now employees and students at Lund University can apply for funding for initiatives aimed at promoting gender equality and equal opportunities at Lund University.

There will be new opportunities to apply for funding from the Management Group in November 2017 and in November in the following years.

Funding to encourage an even gender balance among professors at Lund University

The University Board has allocated extra stimulus funding in the University budget for 2016 to promote even gender distribution among professors at Lund University. The funding is intended for measures that will, in both the long and short term, lead to an even gender distribution at the professor level.

The University is inviting the faculties/equivalents at Lund University to apply for funding for clear and active measures aiming to promote even gender distribution among professors in their respective faculties/subjects. 

There will be a further opportunity to apply for funding in October 2017.

Co-financing of a visiting professor in the name of Hedda Andersson

The position as visiting professor in Hedda Andersson’s name stems from efforts to achieve a more equal gender distribution among Lund University’s professors. Even the fixed-time appointment of a visiting professor of the underrepresented gender can create a positive effect regarding gender quality at Lund University in the long term.

The University is inviting the faculties/equivalents at Lund University to apply for co-financing of a visiting professor in the name of Hedda Andersson.

There will be new opportunities to apply for co-financing of a visiting chair in Hedda Andersson’s name in October 2017 and in October in following years.
