Government Disciplinary Board for Higher Officials
The Government Disciplinary Board for Higher Officials examines matters concerning disciplinary offences, criminal complaints, dismissal, suspension and compulsory medical examination in relation to senior government employees such as agency heads, judges, prosecutors and professors.
The purpose of conducting an assessment outside the public authority where the employee works and holds a senior position is to prevent any suspicion that colleagues may take unauthorised considerations into account during the assessment. The Board's decision, like other employer decisions, may become the subject of a labour law dispute.
