IT support, error reporting and advice
You can get personal IT support both locally – from IT staff at your faculty or department – and centrally through the Service Desk.
All employees and students at Lund University are welcome to contact the Service Desk with their IT questions.
The Support Centre is Lund University's case portal. Here you will find guides and the option to submit cases.

At the Service Desk, there is always someone available to help you during office hours. This can be for anything from simple questions, guidance and orders to more complex problems.

Things to consider before reporting an error
- Restart your computer to see if the problem persists.
- In the case of problems with LU-wide systems, first check whether we have published any information on operational disruptions that may answer your question.
- Perhaps one of our support guides may help to solve the problem.

- When reporting an error, always state your user ID (formerly Lucat ID or Student ID).
- Does the problem concern only you, or does it affect others in your unit?
- If the problem concerns your computer, please state the computer name (if you have EGA) or the computer’s IP address.

At the Faculty of Engineering, LTH, FasIT (Property and IT) is responsible for IT support for the administration and a number of other departments. Some departments and units receive their IT support directly from the Division of IT. In both cases, contact should be made via the LU Service Desk.
A few other departments and units have their own IT technicians, but these can also be reached via the Service Desk.

Med IT is part of the Library and ICT Unit. They provide efficient IT services and offer operations-oriented IT support at the Faculty of Medicine.
