Funding for equal opportunities initiatives

Lund University promotes initiatives for equal opportunities at the University by means such as invitations to apply for targeted funding.

Financing of a visiting professor of the underrepresented gender is a recurring initiative. A new initiative is the funding for systematic preventive work against discrimination and for equal opportunities.

Stimulus funding – financing of visiting professor of the underrepresented gender

The financing of visiting professor of the underrepresented gender stems from efforts to achieve a more equal gender distribution among Lund University’s professors. Even the fixed-time appointment of a visiting professor of the underrepresented gender can create a positive effect regarding gender equality as a role model in his/her field of research, which is why the University sets aside funding each year.

The application deadline for 2021 has passed and the next opportunity to apply for funding opens in October 2021, with a deadline in January 2022.
