Guidelines for communication work at Lund University
This document is mainly based on Lund University’s Strategic Plan, which addresses the importance of visibility and clarity with regard to the University’s external and internal communication, and communicative leadership, among other things. The guidelines mainly refer to targeted, formal communication – internal and external.
Do you have news or an event that you wish to publicise?
If you need help getting a good piece of news out to the media, you can contact the press officers at the faculties or Corporate Communications who can help communicate research and other University news to the media.
Are you organising an event which is open to the public? All employees can enter events into the University’s shared calendar, shown on the start page of lu.se.

Are you a new communications officer?
Lund University has a communications officers’ network which you can join if you are working with, or have a particular interest in, communication. Employees in the communications officers’ network get a newsletter a few times per year, are invited to breakfast seminars and training sessions and can use the facebook group “Communications officers’ network at LU”.

External engagement and communication often concerns information that involves external parties, which may require you to process personal data.
Translation and language services
All units within Lund University can engage the Translation and Language Services at Corporate Communications. They offer translation and proofreading of texts from Swedish to English, as well as providing advice and support on other language issues.
