Awards
The purpose of the ‘Award’ module is to link grants with the respective projects to show how the projects are financed. On this page you will find information about why awards are registered in LUCRIS (and W3D3), who registers the awards.
Why the awards are registered
Lund University has decided that all research awards should be registered in W3D3 by a central award function. The information from these awards is simultaneously registered in LUCRIS.
The researcher’s responsibility
As a researcher, you should not register your own awards, this is handled centrally. You should however create a project based on the award information once it has been entered. This includes filling in information about the project and its ongoing results.
Create projects based on awards
A project based on the information in an award can be created when the award is registered in LUCRIS, you do this in LUCRIS by going to the 'Award' module, click on the relevant award and click on the pencil in the right corner. Then you go down to Related projects, click on the button ‘Create project from award’.
If any award information is incorrect
As a researcher, you cannot change an award. All changes are handled centrally. If you find any inaccuracies, please contact LUCRIS support at servicedesk [at] lu [dot] se.
The awards in the Research Portal
An award is only visible in the portal when you relate it with a visible project. Only then will the award appear on the project's page in the public Research Portal. On the page, you will see the name of the funder (and any logo if applicable). When you link an award to a project, it may take a day or two before the contract is visible on the project's page.
The information about the contracts (title, funder, etc.) is searchable within LUCRIS. Log in with your Lucat ID to search for contracts.
The economist’s responsibility
You who are locally responsible for the registration of awards need to submit the award so that it can be registered centrally. Read more about your responsibility under the page for economists:
Frequently asked questions about awards
Here you will find the most common questions and answers regarding awards.
If you are missing a research grant, it is likely because the documentation has not been sent to the award function for registry keeping and registration in LUCRIS. The documentation must be submitted using the form: Registry of research contacts. The administrator in charge of the case usually handles this.
A project based on the information in an award can be created in LUCRIS by you as a researcher. Go to the module "Awards", find the relevant award. Open it, under "Related project" Click "Create project based on this award".
Remember that, as a researcher, you must then complete the information and make the project visible in the portal.
Information about the Awards in LUCRIS is only editable by the function at Research Service handling awards. To change any information please contact the LUCRIS Support: servicedesk [at] lu [dot] se
