4 September: When Learning Becomes Difficult: Emotional Challenges in Education
In this seminar,Maria Weurlander will explore the emotional challenges that students may experience in education. Some teaching situations and subjects can cause anxiety, worry, and fear, affecting students' learning. The seminar concludes with a discussion on how teachers and educational programs can support students in these challenging situations.

11 September: Utbildningsvetenskap vid Vetenskapsrådet – Tillbakablick och Framtid
Professor Pernilla Nilsson, Secretary-General for Educational Science at the Swedish Research Council, will provide insights into the development of educational science in Sweden. The seminar will review the Research Council's role and future prospects for research and development in the field.

30 October: Lärarens Återkomst 2.0
Jonas Linderoth revisits his controversial book "The Return of the Teacher" from 2016, in which he criticized trends that minimized the teacher's role in direct knowledge transmission. Today, with growing interest in a knowledge-transmitting teaching role, Linderoth discusses the ongoing debate and examines how cognitive science and research on teaching effects can shape the future of schools and teacher education.

26 November: Generative AI in Higher Education: Big Data, Big Promises, Big Disappointment?
Cormac McGrath explores the emerging role of generative AI in higher education. The seminar discusses two current articles on AI chatbots, their impact on teaching and learning, as well as the ethical and practical challenges that the technology brings. McGrath offers a critical analysis of what might be lost when AI is integrated into educational practice.
