The ninth Sustainability Week took place on a sunny week in early May and attracted many visitors with its wide range of topics and activities. Over 3500 visitors participated in lectures, panel discussions, workshops and guided tours during the week.

During this year’s edition of Sustainability Week, employees from all faculties at the university, student organisations and employees of Lund municipality joined forces and created a program consisting of 85 events.

This year, there was a great interest from the university in organising events, and LU’s staff and students were responsible for the majority of the events during the week. New this year was that Sustainability Week went beyond the municipal borders, as both Campus Helsingborg and the Malmö Academy of Music organised events in their respective cities.

Some events stood out in terms of attendance. Campus Helsingborg's recurring event HBG Live, which during Sustainability Week addressed the issue of mass tourism, had over 100 visitors on site, as well as online participants. In Lund, the movie theatre at Kino was packed when the strategic research area BECC arranged a screening of the film Planet Soil, followed by a panel discussion with researchers from the Department of Biology. Other popular events included a student-organised clothing swap and the Botanical Garden's annual plant swap.
