Terje Stordalen, Professor of Hebrew Bible/Old Testament studies at the University of Oslo
Terje Stordalen has been a “professor of Hebrew Bible/Old Testament studies at the University of Oslo since 2006. Stordalen is an influential and versatile researcher with a clear interdisciplinary interest. In addition to traditional issues related to the historical, literary and hermeneutical problems of the biblical texts, he has devoted his scientific work to cultural research and collective memory. He uses carefully selected social science methods to study ancient texts and cultures, including the perspective of material religion.
