The purpose of a common newsletter tool is to create uniform, effective and professional communication with students, employees, alumni and other stakeholders.
"This is a major improvement for the university. We have long wanted a common tool, and now the agreement is finally in place," says Cecilia Axwinge, who has been responsible for the procurement.
The agreement will come into force on 1 January 2026 and means that everyone will be able to use Lime Marketing at no cost. Before then, preparatory work will begin on technical solutions, transferring data from previous tools and training.
Why a common tool?
Today, different solutions are used within the organisation, and the university stands to gain a lot from introducing a common newsletter tool. A common tool means significant savings for the entire university and, above all, its operations. Consistency also ensures that mailings comply with graphic profiles and regulations, while simplifying coordination and saving time. It also provides better statistics and analysis opportunities, which strengthens the university's communication and brand.
‘I am pleased to have reached an agreement and see a clear advantage in the fact that several employees have already worked with the tool,’ says Cecilia Axwinge.
What features are included in the procured tool?
Lime Marketing is more than a newsletter tool and has several features for digital communication:
- Lime Newsletter – Create and send professional newsletters.
- Lime Event – Manage digital and physical events with registration forms and landing pages.
- Lime Survey – Conduct surveys and analyse responses directly in the tool.
- Lime SMS – Send SMS messages (one-way communication).
- API integration – Ability to connect Lime Marketing to other systems.
What happens now?
The agreement is finalised and will take effect on 1 January 2026, but work will begin in December to migrate those who already use BizWizard to the university-wide solution. Newsletters stored in other tools will be gradually migrated according to a priority list.
The project is now entering an implementation phase in which a system administration function with support and training for users will be established.
Existing BizWizard agreements will expire on 1 January 2026 when the new agreement comes into force. However, the old solutions will remain in place until all material, mailing lists, bounces, opt-outs and more have been migrated.
Anyone currently using a different newsletter tool will be transferred to Lime Marketing. If you have agreements that run until 2026, it is important to terminate these agreements and transfer to Lime Marketing as soon as possible. Please contact: nyhetsbrev [at] kommunikation [dot] lu [dot] se
Please note that the tool is not adapted for sensitive personal data. If you have such needs, please contact the project manager.
From 2026, new newsletters will be ordered via the Communications Section.
