A sustainable workplace – from concept to reality
The University’s Sustainability Strategy and the Sustainability Plan are ambitious. Change demands new ideas, and good ideas often come from employees within the organisation. Therefore, the University is once again offering the opportunity to apply for funding to solve real sustainability challenges in the organisation. Your proposal could be an important piece of the puzzle as the University makes the transition to sustainable operations.
During 2025, up to six projects will receive support of up to SEK 300,000 each. The project period must be concluded by 31 December 2025 at the latest.
Who can apply?
All employees of Lund University can apply. Your employment must last for the whole of the planned project period. You need approval from your manager before you apply if you are planning to use working hours to work on your proposal.
What can be funded?
Funds awarded can pay for activities necessary for developing, verifying or investigating a solution to a real need or problem. The funds are to cover all the costs of implementing the proposal, including staffing costs, purchases, travel and overheads. The money can be used to implement or further develop the results of earlier projects. It is not, however, permitted to use the funds for investment in others’ land, property or premises, and they must not be used for continuing operations after the project is concluded.
Evaluation criteria
All proposals will be evaluated by a review group. They make their assessment according to criteria about what challenge the proposal concerns, whether the project leads to new solutions, possible sustainability impact, feasibility and expected results.
