We're replacing the tool Ouriginal (formerly Urkund) in October

A laptop and a typewriter.

From 1 October, the plagiarism detection tool Ouriginal (or the old Urkund) will be replaced by Inspera Originality. The function is the same: to help you as a teacher or supervisor identify similarities in students' texts.

What does this mean for you?

Firstly, your material will be transferred automatically to Inspera Originality, but any analyses will not.  So check any analyses that you might need to keep for ongoing disciplinary cases and download them as a pdf.

Secondly, we recommend that you start using Inspera Originality from 1 October. Both the old and new tools will work throughout most of the month, but on 25 October, the old tool will be shut down

Furthermore, the new tool will be integrated into Canvas and also available as a standalone application.

Support and training

We will offer guides for you, and a Canvas course is in the works. Drop-in webinars are planned for the autumn, so keep an eye on the calendar at education.lu.se.
