Lundakarnevalen is arranged every four years by the students of Lund and this year it will be extra maxed out as there are a record number of karnevalister who have committed themselves to organizing the most catastrophic carnival ever! As many as 7,445 excited karnevalister will make the 2022 carnival go down in history as the largest carnival ever.

​​This year's carnival theme is Katastrofalkarneval! Sometimes things do not turn out quite as planned, in everyday life, at school and in other contexts. Lundakarnevalen 2022 will celebrate these misunderstandings, calamities and faux pas. We think that all occasions of life are worth celebrating and in the Lundakarneval 2022 we will do it together on 20th-22nd May.

About

But how does the Lundakarneval come about? Well, thanks to all 31 fantastic sections that (just like every four years) have created everything from scratch. All sections consist of a management group of 8-10 people who together with their carnivalists work hard to ensure that all visitors have as much fun as possible at the Katastrofalkarneval.
