External engagement issues concern the University’s relationship with the wider society in terms of research and education. Through engagement with external stakeholders, we strive to understand, explain and improve working on a regional, national and international level. Different parts of the University have achieved varying progress on these issues. It is important that all units are given the opportunity to further develop the work on “co-evolution”, regardless of the approach. This work is to be characterised by high quality and creativity.
External engagement issues are closely connected to innovation issues. Lund University has long been an important hub for innovation issues in the region and it is now time to gear up activities to include the international arena as well. In this work, we expect an increased exchange with our European colleagues at LERU universities.
Areas of responsibility:
- External engagement activities
- Innovation system
- International external engagement projects
