Message to international students and staff from the Vice-Chancellor at Lund University

Vice-Chancellor Erik Renström addresses the questions international students and staff may have regarding the Swedish strategy to handle the pandemic in comparison with other countries’ strategies.

Based on legal as well as cultural conditions the Swedish strategy relies on willingness and mutual trust between people. As well as a high level of trust between authorities and individuals. Sweden has chosen a long-term strategy that we believe is sustainable for all parts of a vital society.

Erik Renström also ensures that the University continuously adapts to new directives by the Public Health Agency of Sweden, and that the University adjusts and modifies ways of teaching, learning and working in order to create a safe, sustainable and social environment for both students and staff.
