Hybrid public defences of doctoral theses
Price of a hybrid public defence
A hybrid public defence of a doctoral thesis costs SEK 33 000 – 40 000.
The price includes technicians on site, technology, rehearsals and test connections. The price does not include any rental costs for the venue. Please note that LU Conferences does not receive any OH funding for this activity and there is no profit margin built into the price.
Maximum eight people
The technicians work with many different events and meet many different people. LU Conferences therefore aims to keep the number of people physically attending the public defence as low as possible. The Swedish Public Health Agency’s normative recommendation to limit gatherings to eight healthy people at most, applies to protect all those present from infection. For all events, two to four people from LU Conferences are in attendance. They must be included in the total number of participants present.
Please note that LU Conferences follows the Swedish Public Health Agency’s recommendations regardless of whether or not the gathering is considered to be public.
Book in good time
Currently, if you need to arrange a digital public defence of a doctoral thesis or a digital meeting, you must plan ahead and order the event at least eight weeks in advance.
The audience can follow the public defence in real time, online. This enables relatives and friends to take part without physically attending the event.
Everything is saved
The public defence is recorded, saved and made available for download after the event.
