New government framework agreement for furniture recycling

Desks, office chairs, chairs and tables in lecture rooms and study spaces – the University handles a large volume of furniture every year. The impact on the climate from all this equipment makes up a large part of our total footprint. LU Estates is working hard to promote the reuse and recycling of more of our furniture.

A new government framework agreement area, Circular Furniture Flow, has been drawn up for procurement. With this new framework agreement area, you can purchase or lease second-hand furniture, dispose of existing furniture or contract circular services (eg. furniture valuation, inventory, refurbishment, etc.).

Contact your building manager for advice if your workplace needs furniture or has a surplus and would like to use the services.
