Music in film production
The music has been created to strengthen and unify the University’s communication, while enhancing the audience’s experience.
The aim of the music is to:
- Save money and time on searching for suitable music
- Reduce the risks of employees unlawfully using copyrighted material
- Contribute to reinforcing the University brand through the use of a unique signature composition
Free to use
The music is free to use in all films produced on behalf of the University as a whole and/or parts of the organisation. The University owns the rights to the music, so any copyright problems are avoided while ensuring the quality of the music used.
You can use the music files in other types of productions as well, such as for conferences or podcasts. Please contact grafiskprofil [at] kommunikation [dot] lu [dot] se if you have any questions about this.
Different versions for different atmospheres and purposes
There are different versions based on what feeling you want to communicate, or what suits a specific context. Select the version you find best suited for your purpose and cut it to fit your production (the music is looped so that it can be cut and used in different lengths). The music can be used both as a background, in between speech elements, or as a complement to images and text with no speech. The file name indicates the intended purpose of each piece.

How to proceed
The music files are in wav format and can be included as a soundtrack in your film editing program. Examples of such programs are iMovie, Final Cut and Adobe Premiere.
Classic and dynamic
The music has been produced by professional musicians and is based on the classical and dynamic dimensions, in harmony with the University’s graphic profile.
